Power Commander (PCIII), K&N Filter, Aprilia Titanium SP (twin)muffler with chips. Nothing else to to, it's race ready!
After new muffler and PC; great from 2000 to 5000, flat from 5-6000, from 6500 and up it's great, real strong. But dead between 5 and 6 000 rpm. A bit twitchy on the gas at low speed, but I got used to it. From 7000 to 8500 on third it's the most powerful bike I've ever driven. I can easily recommend the Aprilia race-muffler, engine got much more easy in low rpm's and much more agile and strong i high. But I can't recommend the power commander, not much power-gain and very expensive. Maybe I gained som power from 6500 to 7000, but I think thats that.
Good feel when I got used to it. Tried different tires (now BT010's), and they bite very well. Better brakes than on my recent ZX6R, good stability in hard braking when upright. Feel confident even when braking into curves. Think they're great. I'm not a 'stoppie'-hero, but on this bike it's easy, even when it's very tall.
Compared to my last bike, a 2000 ZX6R, it's at least ten times better. Nice feel, don't think I'm going fast before I see the meter. A bit tall and very slim, but now when I'm used to it, I think it's the best bike I've ever ridden, a Fireblade comes close but it's a completely different bike to drive. I feel very safe, and at my local race-track I can go faster and faster every time. Used Supercorsa's SC2 (tyres) before the Bridgestones, and never had a slip, (only once, which was very controllable and fine). Suspension gives me the feedback I need to feel safe and go faster, and I can use the throttle to get the most drive out of every corner. Thanks to hlins and my new set-up.
I was a bit scared about buying an Italian bike, have only had japanese before. Read many tests, and got reassured about the quality. After 4 months owning the bike I'm more impressed. Looks are fantastic, like nothing else. Build quality is great, plastic gas-tank is genious (unscratchable), many, many little details which tells me this bike is built for racing, with a real thought behind. I've done touring (1600 kilometres in two days for example), loves to race it, great on track, and it's as fast as a tuned Fireblade. Race bred replica with real attitude, loves it more now than ever. NEVER regret I bought it. -and it's a twin!
