K&N Filter
Fuel Injected. Lots of torque. Coughs occaissionaly but runs strong otherwise.
It was bought used. Bites hard at first but can be stopped with one finger.
Great! Multi-adjustable suspension can be set for different riding conditions. A bit too much nose dive.
The most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle. I get a lot of comments, most people have never heard of them. Blows away most rice-burners up to 100 mph.
K&N, Vance & Hines SS2R carbon fiber muffler, Race ECM, ASB carbon parts, Kellermann's turn signals, etc etc
Fuel injected, no problems so far, needs good and clean gas ( I use Sunocos 94+)
lots, but could use dual discs up front ( working on that )
still trying to find the right rear shock and the perfect dial in
Its like a V8 in an BMW E30 M3. awesome bike. cool to cruise and if it is needed torque and hp that will give you 0 - 60 in a blink
D&D full system exaust (this is the BEST system for the X1, you'll actually feel a differance and it will sound so good you will make every Harley envy you). Bar ends, K&N, Power Commander, race ECM, High performance exaust sensor,
Horsepower is weak stock but with the mods and mapping it came to life a bit. Torque is nice, but to power up a wheelie you will have to move to sea level, stand on the rear pegs and yank the hell out of it and hope you have enough RPMs left to keep it there.
touchy, they have a tendancy to lock when trying a stoppie. Since they are a single sided brake you will chew through pads so fast you should keep a couple pair on you. However, the nice part of a single sided (the only nice part)brake is that for a begining rider they will correct you if you try to brake in a corner without giving you an illusion that it is ok. It gives you good habits without the crashing.
At low speeds this bike is so easy to ride it's silly. At mid speed 70-100 it gets real shaky in the bars. You don't know what head shake is untill you have ridden an X1 or a cyclone. This will happen so much you'll get used to it and not even notice it. At high speeds, well who cares cause you get up there.
This bike is the best learner's bike for anyone wanting to move into sport bikes. The bike has a way of actually teaching you good habits. It is also extreemly fun to ride, very easy to control and looks like Mad Max gone madder. The down side is, it is too expensive to be a learner's and brace your wallet if you ever go down. If you do a lot of wheelies and other stunts be advised that you will be getting a second job to pay for all the maintenance you will need to do because this bike hates the rev limiter and will begin blowing gaskets so fast you'll need to marry a Harley tech (I did by the way but not for the bike).
List any modifications on this bike
any flat spots etc.
Feel, Strength
good not great
It's a harley. it leaks, has to many sensors. This was my dream bike for many years. I got one and was very disappointed. Yeah it is fun but not worth the money or time.
