any flat spots etc. No flat spots at all after installing the pipe and jet kit. Extremely smooth and powerful with lots of torque immediately available at any speed.

Brakes

Feel, Strength excellent

Handling

Amazingly light feeling and nimble at low speeds for such a big powerful machine. Stable as a train at all speeds.

Comments

There is no other bike that I would rather own than a CBRXX. It is perfectly reliable, fast as hell, and easy to ride. I run with or outrun the hard-core sport bikes all the time, and also drive it every day to work. Since I got it I have stopped driving my car altogether.

Good feedback on the linked system. Does not stand the bike up when braking in corners.

Handling

Faultless, keeps up with Blades and the like in the corners and at speed

Carberation

She is a total beast above 7000 rpm. the only way to describe it is "scary". But a finely tuned lady below 7k. Even when you are below 7k the top gear roll on power is just amazing. can be cruising at 85 mph and the tacho reads a meager 5k rpm and roll the throttle responds so well that you can be at 125 in a matter of seconds and still be at 6.5k. there is definitely a flat spot at 3-4K but is noticable only by expereinced riders

Brakes

the linked braking has its disadvantages, but if you are like me who uses it for commute and sprot ridiung you will be thankful that it saves lifes. its saved mine twice.

Handling

great for long distance. for sport riding change of tires to Dunlop 207 make it a lot easier to get leaner angles

Comments

superb bike overall

Mods

Stock -other than minus one tooth on the front sprocket. This is a good modification I would recommend to my own Mother.

Carberation

Smooth and powerful unit. I am not aware of any "flat spots" in the band.

Brakes

LBS turned out to be a plus in my opinion. Overall brakes are great, the rotor surfaces have held up with high mileage much better than similar sporttourers (ZX-11)

Handling

I have been thru many sets of Dunlops, mostly D207 Sportmax. It can travel straight up and still do some hell raising when needed.

Comments

The XX is my all-time favorite 2 wheeler. I've done all the maintenance during 81,000+ miles of commuter, realistic, year-round riding in Colorado. This is an everyday transportation machine that can do MANY THINGS VERY WELL!

Carberation

any flat spots etc: Have yet to notice any flat spots, however, as mentioned in previous reply to the xx, it's hard to notice.

Brakes

Feel, Strength: Unreal, stops like a dream. Does take some getting used to when riding hard, corners etc...but once used to it, it's hard for my buddies to keep up..they all have 929's, rc51's, superhawk....it really does beg to be pushed, hard to believe it is a tourer of any kind.

Handling

great

Comments

I do like the rc51, but for power, cost, comfort, etc..the xx has been awesome.

Carberation

Low on power, but very linear....no bad flat spots. Not the nicest shifting bike at all.

Brakes

Brakes are not bad, but I personally don't like the linked system.

Handling

Handling is not really great.....but what do you expect for a 600+lb bike

Comments

This is an awesome sport touring machine with great 2-up ability.....very comfortable seat......could spend hours on it with out getting sore.......fairly upright riding position.......and they can be had cheap.

Mods

Power commander, Two Brothers dual slip-ons, down one tooth in front, Race Tech suspension, Battlax 010 tires.

Carberation

The fuel injection is very smooth and linear. There are no glitches or hesitation of any kind. The farther you turn the throttle, the faster it goes - and you better have a lot of room in front of you, 'cause it gets there real fast!

Brakes

The Linked Braking System works quite well, providing smooth and controlled stopping power. The brakes are strong without being "grabby".

Handling

The handling is light and quick, especially for an 1100cc bike. It really feels much smaller than it is. The stock suspension is a bit harsh over sharp edged bumps, but the Race Tech suspension really smooths things out.

Comments

This bike absolutely ROCKS!! It is super fast and super smooth, sounds awesome with the Two Brothers exhaust and is super fun to ride. I feel exhilarated every time I ride.

16T front sprocket, many more to come.Power commander.Aiming for over 300HP and putting the lumpy thing on a diet.

Carberation

Ugly flat spot from 5000 to 7000,still tuning with Power Com.A little touchy in first at low revs, but so what.Strong from 7000 up,very effective ram air system helps at high speed. Will have Hindle can soon.

Brakes

Good feel, don't notice linked system.Could be aa bit stronger, will be upgrading calipers and scrapping LBS.

Handling

It's no 600,but it is better than a Hayabusa,no doubt the stock 180 tire helps it turn in quicker than the 1300.Needs stiffer front end that's adjustable.RR could use more adjustability too.

Comments

Awesome highway bike, too easy to go too fast.Very smooth, girlfriend likes riding on the back and she has her own bike!Have run the quarter in 10.43 and its stock, with high mileage.A few mods should put it in the 10.0's.The clutch is great for normal riding but grabs like a crazed troll after a burn out, impossible to slip the clutch at the strip. Will fix that.Overall love the big lump.

Hard to find a better sport touring bike for the money , 500 miles in a day and still ready to ride more, even at triple digit speeds.Build quality second to none, proven reliability, good cruising range, fast enough to null the bordem of endless desert streches of tarmac.Lots of cool features not found on newer bikes.Pic and specs link below. http://www.cybercycle.iwarp.com/

best all around bike for the money, what it lack in one area it over compensates in all others. It is also a rare bike...Be different dont be a Gixxer cookie cutter clone or one of the busa Masses.

Mods

CBR1000F - Yosh pipe, custom paint and graphics, 55/60 watt headlight bulbs (noticibly brighter than the stock 45/45's). Jet kit in the future.

Carberation

This bike had lots of power from 3k on. No need to downshift for quick passes on the freeway. No flat spots that I've noticed. Only issues have come from the CA model emmisions junk. I made the switch to full synthetic oil and now get 50+ mpg (was 40 with regular oil), the shifts are much smoother, and the engine runs a little cooler.

Brakes

Brakes work good, especially considering that it tips the scales around 600lbs. Watch the rear brake though - its a little TOO easy to lock up.

Handling

Once the bike is going, you dont even notice the weight. Rolls into turns nice and smooth.

Comments

I love this bike. I can make the 750 mile trip from Northern CA all the way to San Diego in around 11 hours and still be able to walk when I get off the bike, and it keeps up with my friends '03 GSX-R 1000 in the turns. It's a good, solid bike that is great for long trips and still fun in the turns.

Two Brothers C5 Carbon Single, K&N filter, Jet Kit, Dyno-Tuned 145HP at the rear wheel at 85 degrees. Raised the rear suspension a inch keeps the front wheel on the ground better.

Carberation

No flat spots power strong from 5K

Brakes

Great lazy mans bike with the LBS I wouldn,t own another bike without the Linked Brakes.

Handling

Stable at all speeds weight factor is not bad, no shakes or surprizes, front forks a little harsh on sharp bumps, but no dive on braking.

Comments

Very fast with comfort and build quailty above all others. A little notchy shifting from 1st to 2nd at low speeds until you get used to clutching before letting off the gas, but very positive shifting no missed gears like on the Kaws I had before. Quiet engine very little mechanical noises.

YA IT'S BAD!

Carberation

Unbelievable power, fastest bike in the world 96,97, good strong pull from idle. Currently 4th fastest in world. But whats a couple mph when your doing over 180mph. Good gearbox, EFI give instant throttle response,

Brakes

Good brakes, linked brakes do take some getting used to. but once comfortable with it there great, I can back it into corners comfortably.

Handling

handling is on par for a WORLD class bike, flickable at moderate to high speeds, low speed I can feel the 480lbs somewhat. great handling overall.

Comments

Truly the Hypersport bike to have. Made for fast touring or sportriding, very comfortable alone or 2up, cant say enough about it. Only downfalls seem to be soft paint and weight (480lbs)

Very smooth seamles delivery with a difinite kick at above 7000 rpm. Awesome roll on power even from as low as 3000 rpm in 6th gear. This is one smooth motor

Brakes

Very powerful brakes that I have not been able to get to fade even after repeated hard braking. Linked brake system is a real honey and worth its weight in gold

Handling

Sure its long and heavy but once your underway this weight becomes a non-issue. Very chuckable for such a large powerful bike

Brakes

Feel, Strength LBS takes some getting used to but once you have ridden it for a while you forget its even there. It lets you brake into corners without standing the bike up. Lots of feel and power.

Handling

Well put it this way, there is nothing i have come up against that has got past me and stayed there !!! THIS BIKE EATS R1'S. The closest anyone has got is my mate on his blade. Once in the corner it just begs to be ridden harder.

Comments

Honda build quality is the best, the engine is bulletproof with bags of grunt. Fantastic handling, touring and scratching. great two up as well. The only way forward for me has got to be a gixer thou !!!!!!!
