Yeah. Smooth as glass and lots of it.
Strong brakes.. feel a bit wooden but they do bite well.
Be real carefull with the throttle exiting the corner. Feels more twitchy than the R1.
More motor than .. gosh just about anything on 2 wheels. :)

A little sluggish off the start but as soon as you get rolling all I can say is WOW. More power then I'll ever need and I've only have the rpm's around 9
A little spunggy but after a little while ridding it you'll get to know it better and won't notice it anymore
Taking corners at high speeds is a little scary untill you have riden it for a while
This thing is a beast it has more power then I'll ever need and I've only had the rpm's around 9
Installed a "Crop" pipe and power command.
This bike delivers power like no other. No bike in it's class can run with it. The R1 or GSR 1000 is no match. The "Busa" could not out right pull away from this bike. I reached speeds of 184 to 188 and the R1 was left standing....
The braking takes a little of getting use to. It's not as crisp as you would like it to be in the begining but once you settle down it works itself out.
The bike handles well. Because of 370 or so pounds its very light and it could get away from you..
Kawasaki did an excellent job with this one. The don't get the headlines like Honda, Susuki or Yamaha but there bike can not compete...
None
The flexibality of this bike is unreal. Keep at 4K RPM and its like riding a cruiser or mellow bike. Get those R's up to the 6K to 10K and watch your life flash before your eyes!!! The motor is remarkable smooth through out the power band. And you gotta love to be able to get the front wheel in the air with no clutch.... This is one fast, fast, fast machine.
They feel powerful, but have a different feel. Had my wife on the back, 120lbs and noticed a big difference. Had to really get on the brakes with her on it. I would say the 05 CBR 1000RR I put 800 miles on had better brakes, or at least a better feel.
Handles increadbile, almost to good. To enjoy the twisties I find myself going faster to have fun becasue the bike is so capable. Hitting my favorite turns 15 to 20 mph faster than my 98 ZX 9. Haven't needed it yet but wish it had a steering dampner on it. looking to pic one up now.
The bike is beautiful, light and well made. And I am really surprised at how comfotable it is. My wife complained about the high rear pegs, but she doesn't know but I am taking them off soon anyway! Honestly this bike is so good, that it is to much for the street. Kind of thinking I should have got the 600 so I can ride it hard and not the other way around.
yosh triangler
awsome too much
stop on a dime
fantastic in turns find myself riding on last half inch of tire
very fast wheel starts comin up around 7000 rpm
nothin but I have the new chip on order
1st gear a slight lag as factory put it, I'm high altitude though so maybe open up a bit to find better performance there, not too sure about injection though, other than that very slight lag, this bike is everything that my old GPz 1100 was and then subtract about 200 lbs, and add a major advantage in cornering it really rocks my boat. I love the bike, smooth acceleration like nothin I've ever owned, went a bit hard through the break in period but I have my own philosophy on that.
Yet another breakthrough from the models of old, this bike can stop in a hurry, Wooops whats that behind me, What? my bike ? then arghhhh umph slappity slap slap slap, oh man i think i did it again, where's my cell phone!
beggs for more throttle coming out of every turm. i'm still getting used to the harder Dunlop compound, as I can't afford a michelin and buy the freakin bike in the same year>`
I love my new Kawi, sits nice next to the 7 other bikes. My latest lady had never been on a rocket before so she was full of really cool yelps and whinnies all day on our first ride together, made for a nice evening.
Akapovic Slip On Exhaust!
This bike will rock your world..In First (barely noticable) a little slower than some other bikes i have ridden but it makes up for a lot of mid range power..this is where is really screams...Almost can't keep it down in second..it's awesome not needing to pop the cluth to get it up on one wheel..The best thing i ever bought was the akapovic it takes care of the slight lag in throttle response that you feel from a stock exhaust and is honestly all the bike needed..But I never settle and there is a power commander on the way...
The brakes are sharp and to the point to do an indo they are definetly enough..I found them to be a little sharp untill the bike was closer to being broken in..Now they feel perfect and I don't see any reason to touch them...Stop on a dime...
This bike takes the twisties just as good if not better than any smaller bike and definetly better than the GSXR 1000 05 my buddy has...they feel like a bigger bike..take the zx10r for a ride and you get the feel and love of a 600 or 750 and all the power of an 1000...Best handling and speed combination i have ever felt on a street bike.
I have ridden like i said above alot of different bikes old and new...Gsxr 750, 1000, 04 and 05...My buddies CBR 1000 RR 05 and a 97 Honda F3 600...and another bike i got to spend alot of ride time on was an older GSXR 1100 i think it was a 90..but anyway i honestly like this bike better than anyone of those and would trade it in for anything in the world...OH yeah and all that everyone cares about..It's bithen Fast...
Slip on, Pazzo Levers, Carbon Belly Pan, SXC Steering Damper, Carbon Frame covers, Carbon Subframe Inserts.
First initial go on a 10r felt I little disappointed, all bike shops were not allowing test rides and when i got on one i thought the pick up felt slower that my 9r E1. However once above 4000 rpm this thing will rip your arms off. Power delivery above 4 grand is aggressive and everlasting. again after 10,000 rpm it seemd to really start going. I am no wheelie king but i have experienced 100mph + wheelies on this by accident. Two words to some it up *uckin ANIMAL.
Brakes are good for your every day ride, feels better with the Pazzo levers as the span is not as long and the levers short. 2 Finger braking no problem. More than i will ever need and also the radial brakes and pettle discs look sweet.
Feels superb, more flickable than my 9r ever was. OE tyres do not do the bike justice..Although they are not as bad as everyone says (Use them to learn the bike). Will be replacing them with Pilot Powers.
This bike is indeed an awesome machine.... Dont buy it if you can not control your right wrist, it needs respect and some common sense to not be overly stupid. Will have no reason to sell this bike ever regarding performance. The 06 ZX10r is just around the corner although i am sure the 04 and 05`s will be the ones to own as the new 06 model has been tamed slightly.
AKRAPOVIC SLIP ON
ANYTHING ABOVE 5K IS REALLY AWSOME i LIKE STAYING AROUND 7K WHEN RIDING OR ABOVE
I THINK THE BRAKES COULD BITE MORE IN THE REAR
FEELS LIKE A ZX6R REAL LIGHT AND NIMBLE
MY BUDDY RODE MY BIKE AND HE WISHED HE HAD THE ZX10R INSTEAD OF HIS R1 EASY WHEELIES IN FIRST GEAR. LOOKS AND FEEL SMALLER THEN OTHER BIKES. I'VE RIDDEN THE BUSA R1 GSXR 750 AND HAD A ZX7R LOVE THIS BIKE CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF RIDING HER. LIKE BEING ON BEYONCE KNOWLES.
slip on, -16 th sprocket
mellow kitten below 5k rpm pack of lions above 5k rpm
good imo, but wiil go to ss lines soon
just falls in to curves.
1 word: AWESOME!!
Saving for ohlins steering damper,IXIL undertail exhuast, and pwr cmdr
Have to agree that frst gear lacks, but 2and 3 gear catapult u. Fast wheelies should be done in 2nd gear. And as far as acceleration is concerned, I already have to put my 3rd rear tire on it and I don't even stunt.
Spongy at first, but they either got better or I got used to them. Not sure if I like rear ones.
You have to take care w/factory Dunlops in really fast corners under heavy power or controlled slides coming out of them,(they skip and hop) but a new set of Avons cured that. Some head shake when powering out of corners. Really needs a steering damper to feel more secure.(Kawasaki added one on the '06). Other than that she's light and fun.
My first street bike was '84 VF500. Street bikes have changed since then and this bike is the culmination of all the performance research that has been done in the past twenty years. THIS BIKE BEGS TO BE RIDDEN FAST. If you are a speed junkie don't buy this bike.(yeah, right)Fit and finish leaves a little to be desired and Damnit Kawasaki get a little style going, a fast bike should look FAST!
Akropovic slip on, power commander, ohlins steering stab.
Like everyone else said the power is a little lacking below 4,000 rpm but really romps after that. I like it alot but I am getting annoyed at not being able to keep this thing down. Bikes I should destroy are hanging around because I can't get the front end to stay down. I really can lay the smack down to any other bike on the freeway. Hayabusa is the only thing that can hang on the freeway.
The brakes are awesome. Yeah you have to get into them a little to make them work but they really work when you do.
It handles great. The only problem is the monster power. Its stepped out on me a couple time under acceleration in the corner.
I think I am going to eat through some clutches on this thing. You really have to slip it to launch this thing right. Clutch is totally out at about 50 mph on a launch.
stock
little lag up to 4000rpm then u feel the gggg's kick in, but pretty glad it has a bit of lag, this bike is a weapon
feel's a bit slugish but when there needed they perform well. could feel a bit stiffer at the handle.
love the power in the corner's a bit to much throttle and this baby will drift ,fishy this bike is an animal, unbeaten since owned street ,highway mountain,it was made to race..
race a 04 gsxr13 blew it off the road hit my top speed of 286km/h would of gone more but a bit too much vibration on the steering ,but will definitly crack the 300 with a damper.
