Mods

K&N filter, Power commander 2, Full Yoshimura RS-3 Race system, Ohlins rear shock, Dyno-tuned. Also changed the front brake system for a 6 pots calipper from a GSX-R 1000.

Carberation

Now with the remap and full system, no more problem.

Brakes

More balanced with the 6 pots. Better feeling.

Handling

The Ohlins definitly give a better response in curve...so far the best mod on the brake.

Comments

I got 158 Hbp Crank-shaft for 98.2 ft/lbs.....Hyepy.

Mods

Power commander 2, Ohlins dampner, staintune exhaust system, remapping of fuel injection, Double bubble windscreen (Black), fender eliminator, turn signal integrator. Also a fake carbon fiber tank pad (adds 50 Horse power)

Carberation

Twitchy under 4000 RPM, almost scary if you are a newbie or advanced. above 4000 RPM, pretty much better on the torque then any Ducati I've ridden.

Brakes

No need to change a thing in this department. (Awsome)

Handling

You can scrape the pegs all the way to the frame and it is stable unless you drop the hammer too hard, this will either send you wheeling, power sliding or hitch hicking. Must be smooth on a TL

Comments

I have had 7 bikes in the last 10 years and I have ridden about every bike with the exception of the real expensive ones and the 600's or under and I would not trade mine for anything. I plan on keeping for ever unless I or someone else screws up.

Mods

Roo Racing exhaust, carbon hugger, tinted screen, took the "TL100S" stickers off (looks sharper now) Clutch mods, adjustable steering damper, braided brake lines

Carberation

Snatchy down low but fuel injection is spot on once you're on the go.

Brakes

The whole front end is excellent on this bike; braided lines are always good though.

Handling

Excellent. The back end feels a bit, um, floaty, at ten tenths pace but otherwise it's barking. When i first got it I was a bit wary, but it's handling quirks were blown way out of proportion.

Comments

Top road tool is the TL. Wheelies and stoppies are part of its satple diet, it'll scrap well with the sportiest stuff and even has a great presence when tootling around town. The most "fun" bike I've ridden.

Mods

Yosh RS3 race only slip ons and some cosmetic stuff.

Carberation

Pretty good all through the rev range, although its rarely below 3k for very long.

Brakes

No complaints, although the rear could use a touch more feel.

Handling

I haven't touched the stock settings and it feels perfect for me at 5'9" and 160#

Comments

Just a blast to ride! Lots of attitude in both looks and sound. Can you say torque? How about power wheelie? Big grins every time I get off of it!

Feel, Strength brakes are alright for road but poor for track.no complaints

Handling

saving for an ohlins shock

Comments

Mods

Fuel injection remapped to 1998 specs. I adjusted the suspension to personal settings and always use pirelli dragon evos for my rubber, that's it.

Carberation

under 3000 rpm the bike surges a little bit, but once under way it rides beautifully and smoothly.

Brakes

braking feel is quite good, but fades a little under hard repetitive braking. looking for GSXR 1000 six pots to replace current stock calipers

Handling

i love the handling of this bike, i've dragged the pegs at riding school and the bike held it's line and gripped the pavement excellently.

Comments

this is the second bike i've owned and the previous was a yamaha FZ750 inline four. i've ridden sevral bikes including sevral stints on the very powerful yamaha FZ1 and i still wouldn't trade the TL for anything.

Mods

Scorpion Exhaust system, previous owner did some un-planned bodywork mods!!

Carberation

Bit rough under 3,000 revs but it gives it character. Need to have it re-mapped for the cans but the backfiring can cause interesting reactions in the London pedestrians. (Bang!! whats that terrorist??)

Brakes

Good but not perfect, can be a bit sketchy.

Handling

Good, the only thing that gives it the wobbles is the numerous potholes in Londons roads.

Comments

I love it, it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!! It is a big V Twin with attitude. I use it to commute in London every day and it has not failed to start once and the noise it makes cars part in front of you!!

any flat spots etc.-not after installing the tre, it helped tremendously.

Brakes

Feel, Strength_poor stock, now is alot better with 6 pots and lines, but still no radial mount brembo's.

Handling

exellent, i've actually raised my forks 5mm in the clamps.

Comments

126.4 hp and 76.3 ft.lbs at rear wheel with almost 27,000 miles. it had 9,900 on jan 22, 2003, and now has 26,900 ont dec. 23, 2003. SO I RIDE MY BIKE, AND KEEP IT CLEAN, IT NO GARAGE OR TRAILER QUEEN.

Mods

Flush mount carbon turn signals, shift levers, added tinted dubble bubble screen, and carbon tank protector. K&N air filter with yosh bolt-ons. Next, will be PCII.

Carberation

Sometimes missfires during 2/1 downshifts.

Brakes

Stopping power is outstanding.

Handling

Same as all TLR owners heavy in the turns, but easy to live with once your use to it.

Comments

This is my first bike, so I can only judge it by the few rides I've had on friends smaller bikes.

Mods

Micron Carbon oval cans. Gilles gold rear sets, Goodridge hoses, Undertray, black air flow screen, gold wheels, Re-mapped + PC, Rennesport tyres and others....

Carberation

Great power, great bike bit notchy riding in town at low revs but get it out on the road and open it up and you will be smiling for a week.

Brakes

Great brakes feel strong and with the braided lines one finger endos will be easy!

Handling

Great handling feels very stable could do with a diet but a 180 rear will help with turn in.....great on long fast corners will keep up with anything if the riding is kept smooth...this is not a very nimble bike

Comments

great bike easy to wheelie and pulls through the whole rev range....great sound but having had a lil bit of trouble with the police trying to keep a low profile for a while...can hear it for over 3miles away! stoppies are great fun but this bike would not be recommended for short light people.

Carberation

As aggressive as i want it too be but no complaints from me it does everything i want it too.

Brakes

With the six pots and braided lines i find it very good

Handling

At this stage of gone through one spring unit and two rotary dampers and i always find myself staying with the original equipment. It works well for me so i leave well enough alone.

Comments

I have owned my TL for five years now and i recently decided too buy another bike. I test rode an sp1 and a mille and didn't enjoy them so i bought another TL. What can a person say, they are simply the dogs dangly bits.
