Racing tires, bored it .030 over with wiseco piston kit. Pipe and jet kit. Hinson clutch kit. I recommend all these.
It had a little lag at about 12 r's and I wish it had a little more top end. After the mods it walked all over everything that is not all my mods either. Carbueretion was improved because we bored it.
Strong braking after aftermarket pads installed.
Not nearly as good as my gsx1000r. It gets really shakey at 210.
Buy one if you have the balls.
Installed 4 into 1 exhaust - Yoshimura Zyclone RS-3 pipe and remapped injectors. Eliminated rear fender. Although the riding position is not bad I installed Heli-bars and it really made a big difference in overall riding comfort.
Power is incredible (ABSOLUTELY insane) with smooth crisp acceleration through all gears and speeds.
Bike acceleration, handling and overall comfort are all right there. Stock seat is very firm and comfortable. No need for Corbin seat on this rocket.
Superb.
This bike was worth every penny paid. Not one problem with it so far and I'm racking up the miles. The only thing I can complain about is that I think the windscreen is a little low and you feel like you are going to be blown right off the bike sometimes. I've had it to 160 (I'm not that crazy) and it was still begging for more. No bullshit, this machine will literally have you screaming inside your helmet from the pure adrenaline rushes.
Yosh titanium full system, K&N filter and power commander II
Enless power from start to finish. Although looking for a perfect match download for the power commander. Slight hesitation below 3000 grand. Haven't zeroed in on a match yet.
Amazing stopping power with just a few short grabs of the front and rear at the same time.
I'm not a curve person so I'd say it's not recommended for serious curves unless you have larger "Gonads" or take the rear of a pack of bikes. Straight line, touring and sporting around town is superior.
Reminds me of the big bore bikes of the 70's and 80's. Only this one is complete with chasis and all the bells and horns needed for safe and 2nd to none performance.
List the modifications on this bike NONE
any flat spots etc. Smoother below 4500rom with an Ivans TRE.
Feel, Strength Strong and balanced
Better than i thought it would be. But then agin my last bike was a zx11. This can hand with all but the extreme canyon carvers.
Hold on tight b/c this mother just starts to move at 120 mph and 170+ happens in just a few seconds. 85 mph in 1st and almost 125 in 2nd..
List the modifications on this bike.Owned a 2000 Busa. Fantastic bike. Yohsimura collectors. Have about 150,000 miles on the big ones.(Not the Busa) Busa is the best. Had to sell it for reasons. Just bought a new 2002. What is the mod that makes the internal computer think that it is a 2000 yr. bike? Does the bikes computer back to the 2000 specs...220 MPH? Don't want to ride the 2002 that fast but the 2000 model WOULD go more than 200 mph. I stopped at about 170 .8,000 plus rpm in 4th!!!! Yikes..What a bike. And it handles pretty danm good too. Mason
any flat spots etc.Absolutely perfect.
Feel, Strength Under hard braking got a little soft..
Held the line into and out of corners. Under braking and acceleration. Will kick out if you goose it a bit coming off a corner
Have been riding for almost...years. Old and a few new Harleys.. 3 BMWs..A Honda 500 Turbo. Busa is the ultimate bike. Some good riders are afraid of it. That's because they are not good enough to ride the Hyabusa.

yoshi rs3's, neons plus strobes, carbon everything, power commander, 143 octane, trick kit, new found faith
id be a fool to complain
solid very responsive especially for a stock braking set up
almost scraped off my kneecap (stock)
this is by far the best bike in the world i did 206 on ladar and i wiegh about 325 you figure it out
A list of the extensive modifications on this bike: Braided stainless steel brake and clutch lines; BMC Airfilter; Zero gravity ST windscreen; TTS Engineering sub-frame brace; Carrillo rods; 1429cc big bore piston kit; racing valve springs and retainers; Powercommander II; adjustable cam sprockets; racing camshafts; hi-ratio 5th and 6th gears; FSE fuel pump; Two Brother's Racing 4-2-1 X-metal, carbon fiber exhaust system; Ohlin's front fork springs and rear shock; engine ported; overbored injector bodies; modified clutch; heavy duty starter idler gear; yellow box; and Corbin seats.
This is a great motorcycle, and even more powerful than my previous bike (ZX-11). It runs fast and hard right off the showroom floor, but it is also a great vehicle to make modifications. You'd be better off driving something smaller if you lack experience with big bore sportbikes.
Extremely good brakes that don't fade or become excessively hot. 6 pistons are really necessary for a bike this fast.
superb handling, maybe the best handling bike I've ever ridden. The feel is neutral but precise.
My next step is to add a MCExpress Turbocharger, when I can save enough money.
Bone Stock
Best part of bike. Smooth constant acceleration from idle to redline.
Smooth and controlled, use front bias untill below 50 and hang on or over the cowl you'll go
Superb, Roll on a little throttle and pick up 5 mph in the corner and she's on rails. The bike loves Avon Azzaro ST's 1
THE SECRET! The fastest bike in the world is also the most user friendly around town and two up. Nobody slaps the throttle on this monster when a smooth but spirited roll on takes you from 60 to 130 in less than 5 seconds.
I've Got Two :o) and a ZZR1100 Stock plus Suspension Set-Up Double Bubble (essential) Rear Hugger
Aggresive and responsive through out the rev range
Heavy Bike, 215Kg, heavy Braking required but they are up to it - will fit Goodridges in 2003
How do you make a 200 "mod" equivalent to 2000 Have the suspension - set-up Engineering - Wandsworth - the best money I could have spent. I'm can so easily lay my Knee sliders donw on the tarmac - loads of confidence Bridgstone 010 or 020 or great.
64,000 miles in 12 months in a previous life as a courier, 1300 miles in one day (25Hours - Liverpool and back, London 5 drops and back then Reims, 200miles from Calais and back), Raced a season of 6 hour enduro (finished 7th/100), Commutes 60 miles a day in heavy traffic, shitty, rain, sleet, snow, Joined the 200Mph club (A3 out of London) and Kinda Wheelie OK, Knee down OK Passed Institute of ADVANCED Motorcycle Test (IAM)
Heated grips, braded front brake hoses
I you need more power you need a good thumping.
mushy. Fit braded hoses. HEL seem ok.
Soft but good for the bikes size and wieght. I like it.
Busa's are big softies. They are great for touring on (two-up with loads of heavy luggage). When no-one is looking hold that thottle full open and put some pressure on the gear leaver and let the rev limiter change gear for you. You will loose you licence in no time. You should ride one at least once in your life.
D & D Slip on Exhaust - K & N Air Filter - Very latest cam chain tensioner - makes a difference
Comes off the line like a holy terror and does not stop until you run out of balls to hold the throttle on any longer. Hesitate - yea, your brain not the bike.
Enought to lock the front wheel anytime if your dumb enought to grab it that hard.
Not as good as the GXR 1000 or 750 but it wasn't made to do that kinda of stuff. Great tourer and straight line terror.
It turns a 9.23 in the quarter. Every had your vision blur? buy one so you can experience it. The thrill never wears off with this bad boy. The nice thing about it -it's as stable at 170 MPH as it is at 20 mph. Smooth and unbelievable power. It was worth every cent I paid for it.
power comander, D&D cans, K&N air, gutted air box, no smog, narrow guage braided brake lines,EBC pads, fox rear shock, pilot sport tires,TRE,undertail, hot plugs.
I rode from california to colorado with freinds and the seat felt like a board after eight hours. The bike is a little heavy but handles great for it's size. I went 185mph twice and toped out at 210mph! on a lonly desert highway, all the while handeling smooth and positive. This is one awsome bike, worth every cent!!
pads & lines are a must!
Have a qualified profesional shop set it up. You wont regret it!
I am a 34 year old adrenalin junky who has been riding and biulding bikes for eighteen years. This is a fun bike for the advanced rider,I would not recomend it for anyone who just wants to impress their freinds,YOU WILL GET HURT!!
chromed out,jet kit,micron exhaust
stage 2 get kit
real strong
smoothly
It is very nice
Stock except for PowerBronze Double-Bubble windscreen.
It's fuel injected, and the power deliver is incredible! Very linear and not peaky like other bikes I've ridden. Below 3000 can hesitate a bit, but a TRE/A-TRE will fix that.
Good feel and consistency, although a bike of this class should have steel/kevlar braided lines for better feel. You can get up to 100+ in no time.
For a big bike, it handles extremely well. Obviously not as flickable as a 600 or 750, but it is very neutral.
If you're into straight line acceleration and/or top speed, then this bike is for you. It is truly amazing and be warned, you can get yourself into trouble in a hurry.
List the modifications on this bike Zero Gravity Double Bubble, Carbon Tank Bra.
Slight off Idle abruptness. Otherwise, Strap yourself down and hold on tight. I have never ridden a bike that pulls like this all the way to 180ish (restricted). It never relents, never eases off, just keeps pulling. Nothing else like it...
Needs some better binders up front. They are powerful enough but very mushy and lack feel. Braided lines fix this, but thats not the point.
Amazing the things you can do on this thing. Your not going to keep up with a well ridden 02-03 GSXR 1000, or 600 if it is real twisty, but god help them in the straights cause it is all over. High speed sweepers the Big Busa will roll right along, it's amazingly stable in corners. You wouldn't expect a bike this size to handle but it is surprisingly nimble.
Good fit and finish, Amazing Engine, competant suspension. Tranny is a little clunky around first. Mostly this bike is just amazing, It's unique looks really have come into their own and it gets ALOT of attention. The bike has something special about it, it has a whole lot of character, which is rare nowadays, especially for a japanese sport bike. It's looks, vibes, sounds, and sheer Grunt will put a smile on your face you will never be able to remove...Simply Awesome.
List the modifications on this bike: Micron Titanium Exhaust, PowerCommanderII, TRE, 16-tooth front, lowering links, ZG Screen, custom seat, fender eliminator, MSD shift light,LP polished bar ends
any flat spots etc. With the TRE and PCII....NONE! Pulls like a freight train
Feel, Strength Very good, needs pads and lines but it still get the job done...and then some!
I lowered the bike by 1 1/2 inches and changed the suspension for drag racing but all in all it's tight and predictable
I waited to get this bike for years. I can't believe how much power this thing has. It gets respect everywhere it goes and it never has trouble winning an acceleration contest..with anything. Next mod is either NOS or a Hahn Turbo.
1999 Hayabusa 1300 Black/gray Polished frame, wheels, chrome rearsets, grab rail. Carbon look levers, grips, bar ends, tank protector. Fender eliminator, clear front markers, clear taillight, clear flushmount rear markers D&D cans, power commander, K&N filter, airbox mod, pair valve removed. Have NOS too but not yet installed.....and changing to the full BDE Gen 3 exhaust too. Should put it at 200+ HP at the rear wheel.
Small surge in forward motion when ya keep rpm's down low.....normal Busa thing
Great feel average strength......add stainless lines and all is great.
Excellent handling for a bike that weighs 550lbs
Had this bike for a while now......absolutely no problems at all. Power is nothing short of ungodly.......1st gear is nearly useless as it either spins like an sob or pulls the wheel....or both.....had it happen a few times now.....leave a light.....get on it hard......starts spinning then slowly grabs traction and lofts the front end up big time.....something you really have to be ready for.......first time scared the hell outta me. Awesome on long trips......and great 2-up bike as well. Won't own anything else.
stock. no modifications needed, unless you like to show off.
in a class by itself. This machine will spank any vehicle, you have no equal. respect it
strong brakes no complaints, aftermarket brake lines would not hurt.
smooth, and adjustable.you may feel too confident
sorry, this bike is not for everone. do you feel lucky? live fast, look good, ride a busa!
I have not had time nor the balls to modify my busa. I put yoshi slip ons on it. I have been riding for 20 years, this is by far the fastest bike I have ever seen. I have not lost a race yet, and the stares you get from people are unreal, you can hear the people say" oh shit, check out the Hyabusa". BUY ONE!
FI is perfect.
Feel, Strength
List the modifications on this bike:lowerd, ext 6" removed pair, full yosh exh, yosh stg 1 cams, head port, power comm, 75 hp nos kit, tre installed.
any flat spots etc.u just have to play with pwr comm to u get the the right map,and then tinker with it a little more and u will get it
Feel, Strength upgrade pads it makes a big diffrance
aim straight point and hold on tight!!!!!!!!!
bike is stupid fast!!!!!!!As the tag says (RUNEXT)
List the modifications on this bike
any flat spots etc.no bike is perfect handles great comfortable as shhh and fast as hell short and sweet cant say no more
Feel, Strength
List the modifications on this bike TRE mod D&D bolt ons
Unbelievable accelaration all gears
Rear brakes
D and D slip-on exhaust, competition werkes fender eliminator, zero gravity smoked double bubble windshield, second look tank bra
stock absolutely no flats spots! but stock with d and d pipes, MANY! this pipe/bike combo needs the power commander IIIr badly, along with the pair modification. Bike is going in for spring tune up and power commander with custom dyno tuned map. Heard very good things about D's pipes and custom mapping on this bike...we'll see!!
Feel-excellent, Strength-good
not bad for a big boat... i mean, really...we're talkin 550 pounds with fuel full plus another 220 lbs for the rider plus your gear...but still very capable in good hands
this is the 2002 special edition all black with black frame. Nothing but looks stares and compliments on it from complete strangers, even those who have no idea about bikes. PS- these clowns claiming 220 mph and low 9's from a busa with an exhaust swap and power commander are LIARS!! Its physically impossible to do what you guys claim with anything less than a friggen turbo charger. try 193-194ish and high tens on perfect runs. still sick!! the 180mph speedos are off by 7-8% so it reads FASTER than youre actually going. As a law enforcement employee, i have confirmed this with a radar gun! believe it! Its a ridiculous bike i know, but all you "200mph+ stock busa" guys, quit the BS-ing!!

THE BEST
BEST POWER OF ANY STOCK BIKE IN EXZISTANCE
A LITTLE SHAKY BUT FOR SUCH A HEAVY BIKE TEIR OK
IT HAS GOOD HANDLING
IT IS SIMPLY THE BEST OF THE BEST
wicked crazy throttle response from start to finish, especiallly after power commander installation.
stops quick, will throw you if your not use to it
my last bike was a GSX1100G standard bike that I could throw in some corners after a year of riding this one corners like a dream compared to anything I've ever owned
If anyone has any maps to help a stock bike, better than what dynojet's website has please e-mail, silvertongue1980@yahoo.com
All fiber glass body with a black carbon fiber over lay. all braided lines w/stock brakes. bubble whindscreen to tuck under! stage2 jets left hand shifter for track. power commander 2 yoshi headers mid-pipe and slip-on. upgraded stader. chrome wheels and engin covers. Kill switch. 2 10oz Nos bottles. $8000 later twin turbo setup. Pushing about 320hp under my ass!!!!and a lot more.
What a stupid question. It's a fucking beast!! I only ride it because I'm crazy. No really! Try a 4.668 in the 1/4 mile. I will never do it again!
going 150. . . 2-5 seconds later I'm just about sitting still.
I'd suggest you makeing the bike lighter befor laying it down on a turn. Unless you got brass balls and lay it down all the time :):)
GET ONE. Work your ass off and add everything you can. Go to the track and race for money! It payes for it's self!
Not as such any
I you think of any thing which can not be controlled is the greed for speed of this bike what ever you give is justless . ITs not the bike you test acctually it tests you . One day i took it to 342 kmph .
just donot compare
ITS not that good but fine
Over all who have 5he heart to drive & know how to drive
Chill Factory Turbo system with Mitsubishi Super 20G turbocharger, dump pipe, and K&N tapered filter; 1397cc JE Turbo pistons, Carrillo connecting rods, APE valve springs and guides, larger fuel pump, fuel injectors, and oil pump; new cam sprockets, and Comeco head gasket, etc...; Aquamist 1S water injection system w/ digital dashboard display, Hyperpro steering damper,Galfer steel-braided brake lines, Yellow Box speed calibrater, Vortex 38 tooth rear sprocket, Zero Gravity double bubble windscreen, Dunlop D208z tires, Speed Shop 220 mph guages, Power Commander IIIr with TRE(for high speed runs only)and lots of dyno time!
I have had plenty of riding hours on this bike stock and for an out of the box experience it is amazing! This bike cruises like a small Gold Wing and takes off like a rocket with the twist of the throttle. The power does not go away at 12,000 rpms. You just keep accellerating! There is no effort with this bike in regards to passing other vehicles- no downshifting needed.
Only one thing to say: Get steel-braided lines! at least in the front. This bike is too heavy for quick braking, and with its accelleration, you will need to be able to brake on a dime. I have a set of Galfers and they do work
Handling is very impressive for such a long, heavy bike. It will take the twisties, just not as agressivly as a 1000. Definately dump the tires. They don't make the bike feel like it is part of the road. The suspention is very nice with many points of adjustment for various riding styles
Lets face it, there is no other motorcycle like the Hayabusa. For about $9,500 (if you haggle) you get a cruiser with excellent ergonomics, great gas mileage (about 42 mpg if tuned properly), show-quality looks, great fun in the corners, and hidden somewhere beneath the rider, tank, and plastic, a 160 RWHP-190+MPH rocket screaming to spank an ignorant R1!
Mostly stock
excellent very tractable and controlable power cruises around town without a problem and at the track (Milan,MI) on third pass with full tank of gas tools in the back and street tire pressure ran a 10.2 @ 140 mph very good for a stock bike.
rear brake is almost useless and ive bled it and changed pads. fronts are very good
really good for such a big bike
whats not to love, looks awesome goes very fast and has been really reliable. Paying for the insurance hurts though
K&N Air Filter,Power Commander III,Tre,Theft Alarm with Remote, Frame Sliders,Hotbodies Fender Eliminator, Metzeler Tires, Chrome Triple Tree,Chrome Rear Shock Spring, Chrome Pivot Knuckle, Chrome Wheels, Chrome Swingarm, 10lb Bottle of Dry Nitrous,Down one tooth on front chain sprocket ,Waiting on Yoshimura 1397 bore kit to arrive & be installed,
less one tooth on front chain sprocket gives it quick snatch on roll-ons. Dry Nitrous system makes her fly. I have pegged the speedometer more than once. She sticks to the pavement with the metzelers in curves. Bike would drift in curves when I had stock bridgestone tires on. I'm 6'2"/252 lbs so I like the hadling of the bike; It's heay & stable under me.
Good smooth braking
Hadles great
Was so excited about my post I listed comments in Power Delivery section.
bone stock (that is why I bought the baddest)
comes on hard from 2500 rpm comes on harder after about 4500 rpm and just flat out smacks you in the face after 7000 rpm
brakes have good feel however braided lines would finish the package
surprisingly very good.however it comes out of corners very hard and accelerates effortlessly so you need to watch corner entrance speeds because of deceptive speed capabilities. great adjustment's for anyone less than Nicky Hayden.
besides short lived rear tires the bike is hard to fault. The big bikes aren't for everyone but i like rollin' on the throttle at 4000 rpm and watch life and eveything else dissapear.
