Surface

Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions Tested in Dry warm to hot conditions: Very good tire. I've used this tire on my GSXR 1000 2003 model. I ride only on the street but I ride hard. I got 7500 miles out of mine at lower than normal tire pressures. I was running about 32 rear 29 front. At full tire pressure they didn't feel very good. But lowered they felt really good. One note about wear. These are a harder tire so when they wear and you get a flat spot in the rear you can actually feel it durring riding. IE. it's harder to initiate turns etc.... And when the front is worn REPLACE IT. Watch very very carefully the wear in the front. I had about 8000 miles on mine when it started slipping out on me in the corners. Not a good feeling. The sides on mine were worn down before the center. In the wet: very very good wet weather tire. I was at Deal's Gap in a monsoon and I felt very confident of the traction. Very good feel and feedback in the wet. In the cold: I suggest you be very very carefull using these tires in the cold. I was riding in about 50 degree weather last fall and I noticed less traction than in the warmer weather.

Grip

warm weather: 7 wet: 9 cold: 5 See above. 1 to 10 scale.

Stability

Very good when run at 32 rear, and 29 front. With full pressure they felt quite vague, especially in the front.

Handling

Very good handling. Nice even progression when leaning it in. No tippy feeling at all. Just put it where you want it and make any necessary changes mid corner, no problem. Again though, this was with the lowered pressures. Didn't have as much confidence or feel when at full pressure.

Comments

I would recommend this tire to anyone who commutes and does the occational weekend romp through the twisties. Just remember to lower the pressures before heading out and getting too agressive in the twisty stuff. But for every day riding I say two thumbs up. I've had three sets of these tires so I guess that says a lot. BTW, very very deep tread on these tires. If you ride easy and at full pressure 10,000+ miles should be possible. Riding with lowered pressures and very very agressively mostly in the twisties I got 7,500 out of them.
