Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions Pavement, from 40 to 100 degrees, Sunny or rainy
Very good grip under all conditions. Could have a bit more grip at extreme lean but it more than makes it up by its soft brakeaway, easy recovery and predictability.
Stability etc. Extremely stable, this tire is more compliant than the Dunlops and relatively rain-groove friendly. Excellent on bad pavement.
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes. Fast turn in and very light steering, yet more progressive lean (rounder profile) than DP207s. Forgiving but the more compliant carcass needs the full recommended inflation -they will tend to "fall" into turns with lower psi.
An excellent street tire (should be OME on the SuperHawk) with better than average life. For serious track work you'd want a softer compound.
Type of surface tested on.ASPHALT Temp.90* Weather Conditions CLEAR,- TIRE HANDLED EXTREMELY WELL UP TO 170 MPH CORNERING IN EXCESS OF 100 MPH TIRE DID VERY WELL
GOOD
Stability etc.EXCELLENT
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes.REACTS QUICKLY
Tested on all types of roads, all temps from 50-85 degress.
Grip was okay. Cornering was good. But when the temp is below 60 the tires take AWHILE to heat up, and then when they do they cool down again real soon. Clutch wheelies suck with these tires.
Feel is good
Handling is good, but Dunlop D207's would be a better tire for this bike.
If you get a GSXR1000 get D207's on it. These slipstones aren't good on this bike. This bike needs a tire that has alot of grip. With 162 hp at the rear wheel after a pcIII, pipe and filter, I need and am putting D207's on it.
NY asphalt some good some frost cracked. 50 deg.F - 100 deg. F. Mostly overcast some sunny. Interstate(northway)& many moutian back roads.
cold temp (<70)= sucks, slides out too easy out of the corner. warm temp (70-85)= the best for these skins. hot temp (85<)= sucks, the rubber just decinigrates.
warm temps smooth, but ruff on frost cracks. They tend to throw the bike around when parallel to the uneven road.
Quick to lean in or react to changes.
3000 miles, center of tread down to wear bars sides 1/2 way. Unless you live on a moutian where you never have to go strait, the center wears out way to quick. Then here come the handeling problems. The ridge makes it feel like its gonna kick out.
Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions All types this is un update and comparo with the newer bt 012s
For sport-touring the 010s rate a 9, but for hypersports I'd rate them just a 7. -that's the 7.9, this form won't allow 7-9 You got to match to its intended mission. The only reason for Suz to put these on the Gixxer 1k must be to *slow* people down
Stability etc.
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes.
Compared to the newer 012s, the BT010s have a lot less grip yet will last just about the same and the price is similar. The compromise is that althought the 012 limits are higher, they are a lot less forgiving and offer a harsher ride. Be realistic about the type of riding that you do before you decide which to buy.
Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions Streets, highways, and cannyon. Temperature range from 60 degrees to 95 degrees. Rain, and sunny weather
The grip was good and they never let me down on the dry. In the rain these tires never slid on me, and they inspired a lot of confidence.
The feel of tire was not great at medium to maximum lean.
The handling was pretty fast and transformed my bike since I had sport touring tire (MZ4).
Overall, BT010 is a wonderful tire that grips well in the dry and wet. I manage to get 4807 miles out of them. I just wish these tires could have made it to the 5k miles. Definitely one of the best tire out there for the money.
Canyon carving, hot to very hot temperatures
Front end behaved very well, very predictable, great braking feel. The rear end wasn't quite as planted but slides were very predictable and regaining traction was never abrupt.
Excellent overall stability
Average response to abrupt steering changes, side to side shifts kind of lagged and required a little muscle.
Good tire but not much longevity
Type of surface tested on. varied Temp. 50-112 Weather Conditions varied
Just great for a street tire. No problems at all on my 100Hp Duck.
Stability etc. Stable. Good feedback, confidence inspiring. Neutral is the word for me.
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes. Seem fine to me. again, a neutral performer. Great feel. front move around a little on the brakes but still giving good feedback.
The absolute best sports tire I've ever ridden in the rain! Great street tire overall. 5000 miles out of a set on my bike, including some touring pace miles. I'd bet 4000 miles if you are on-it much of the time.
all different types.
grip is supurb with the 010s in all weather conditions. im am already dragging the pegs and exaust can.brilliant.warm up quick 2.they let u really get on the gas out of bends and not have to worry about grip.
superb
quite slow to get the bike over but so smooth and confidence inspiring.
excellent do it all tyres. im having another pair wen these are shot.
Various street conditions, early spring to late fall.
Not bad in a straight line, but easily loses grip under throttle pulling out of turns.
Handles well enough cruising around town, but at higher speeds, flat-out on the highway, they give you an uncomfortable feeling that the world is about to end.
Overall handling is mostly acceptable, as long as you ride like you're recovering from surgery.
I replaced my stock 207s with the 010s to save a few dollars and try something different. I wish I hadn't. Now, I'm waiting for these to wear out enough so that I can go back to the 207s.
Used on a variety of roads and in varying conditions.
Great grip in any condition, warm or cold, wet or dry.
Good road feel, stable in most conditions. Good feedback in turns.
Nice, neutral, and quite light-handling. Turns in easily, stays where you put it, though it does seem to take more effort to push it out of turns.
Another great street tire. Usable grip, stable, and with good feel on the road. Good wet and cold grip, light enough to feel good, but not as light as the Pilot or Avon Azaro.
Type of surface tested on roads and race track. Temp from 40's to high 90's. Weather Conditions rain and dry
Excellent grip on wet and dry surfice. In the rain the thread alows water to flow nicely witch avoids aquaplaining and maintains good grip taking corners. on dry surfaces or on the track grip is excellent, good compound tire, not real soft but it grips really good once your tires are wormed up.
Stability is great, it is a well rounded tire.Unlike the dunlop 207 wich has a high center that will make your front end wobble. The 010's have a lower center making handling great, they drop into corners nicely without alot of effort and they won't try to stand your bike up in the corners so this will give you a smooth ride. instead of a gut renching fealing of not bieng sure your going to make the turn.
overall the tires are great for long distance they won't wear to fast and short distance will last forever.
if you plan on riding hard you can feal safe. i have had to replace my foot pegs twice because i wore them down leaning so hard on the 010's at the track.they are also very forgiving.
