Mid-Ohio sportscar course. Track temp 125F. About 50 laps during California Superbike School
Amazing! I found a new level of cornering speed. Never got greesy or slick.
Very good feedback and quick turn in time. I never found them breack loose except when going over some of the asphalt patches in the corners at this track.
Quick to lean over. Almost too fast to flick into corners. Found my self leaned in to hard at first.
Realy nice tires. Pretty much the industry benchmark for a full on sports tire. Might make a bike with a steep steering angle a bit twitchy IMO.
Road only, both in summer and winter temps range from 33 F. to 110 F.
Excellent feel, never pushed the front end and great for a bike like a 600.
Outstanding
Great turn-in ability and braking late in turns.
Tested on a variety of surfaces in a variety of conditions from clean, smooth asphalt in warm temps, as well as cold and wet conditions.
Grip is decent when warm, but horrible when cold. Scary when cold. When they let go, they do it like right now, no warning. Grip in the wet was OK when warm, but really horrible when cold.
On the XX they were stable at low speeds, but wandered at higher speeds. On the lighter bikes it was reasonably stable.
If you like light, quick, neutral handling, this is NOT your tire. It takes a lot of push on the bars to turn, and an equally hard push to get it back. It feels "notchy", like there are a couple of positions where the bike wants to be, and you have to work it to put it somewhere else. On the XX, it made the bike feel like a huge, heavy pig, and on the lighter bikes it just made them seem heavier.
Fine track tire, where you maintain the ideal conditions. Good traction when hot means you can ride at the limits. Terrible street tire for real-world, everyday riding.
used on pretty much all road conditions.
great grip, when warmed up are stciky and feel nice
nice and stable, maybe a little soft
quick tyres, nice roll right to the edge
watch out, i know i liked them but i also blew 3 in 700 mi. they're not steel belted and can't resist too many rocks etc. def. great for perfect conditions, but in the real world reliabilty counts, plus dunlop woouldn't even warranty any of them!!!
Stability etc.
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes.
Well these tires worked awsome when warmed up... But probably as with all tires (I'm not sure) they didn't do too well while cold. I just wrecked the front end of my bike after the tire locked and slid out from under me. Great tires when warm though!
All riding done on city and rural streets. Roads always dry. Temps range from mid-30's to lower-50's.
Grip on these tires is excellent when nice and warm. I have put knees down on corners when ridind(on purpose of course), and these tires never loose grip.
Stability is excellent.
Tires don't seem like they are overly anxious to lean in, but that might also be the bike. Can't really make a good comment in this section.
These tires are all around excellent. The only problem I have ever had is when carrying a passenger of about 150 pounds. While going around a corner at about 15 miles per hour, the back tire kicked out and I was forced to throw a foot down to keep from dumping the bike. The road was clean and dry. It was unusual. Only problem ever experienced. Otherwise a good tire.
Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions
Tire grip on the 207 zr is excellent once warmed up. Tires are horrible when cold.
Tires are stable at high speeds even on the litre bikes. Tires turn in quick but give little feedback at extreme lean.
Quick to turn in and are confident in late turn braking.
I am on my 4th set and i must say for the price of the dunlop 207zr it is a great tire at an affordable price compared to the other tires on the market. Many of my friends run high dollar tires for our canyon carving expeditions and i must say they are just as good as your top end street tires.
Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions. typical british summer ! quite warm on the odd day !
ok when warm like most people said, but never had a tyer let go like these when cold ! a few scary moments when being impatient and not getting them warm.
Stability etc. feel nice at high speed. had my 6-r showing 170 on the clock with them on ! probably nearer 160 ish.
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes.seem really quick to turn in. when first fitted found myself throwing the bike in too far. dont seem to want to switch direction as quick as they first fall in.
had the old D204's on before this and to be honest i thought they were better !
City streets and highways. All weather
I can break loose the rear very easy! (The D208ZR is has much better grip).
The tire feels ok if you are not into speed and corning. If you like to go a a litte faster that the posted speed limit you will be happy with this tire.
The handling is ok at speeds around 110 in a corner. Any faster feels unstable (If it's a tight curve).
If you are looking for a tire that sticks, handles, and is stable you can find better ones than this one. If you like Dunlop's try the D208zr's. I upgraded to them and they feel better. I really didn't notice how bad the D207zr were until I tried the D208ZR. If I did have the 208's I would have said that this is a great tire because I didn't know any better. I'm also going to write a review on the D208ZR. Look for the user named Dee.
