Again I ran this tire in the Northeast having experinced some rain, cold, mild sunshine and what we consider at times to be extreme heat.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
TOTAL CONFIDENCE, YOU HAD THE FEELING THERE WASN'T ANYTHING YOU COULDN'T DO.
I FELT LIKE I WAS ON A SUPERBIKE IT WAS GREAT!!!
I CONSIDER THIS TIRE TO BE A PERFECT FIT FOR THIS BIKE AND MY SET UP. THET WERE A PERFECT MATCH.
I used them on the TT track in Assen (Netherlands). +/- 15 degrees Celcius. Not being a pro-racer the tyre forgave me all of my little flawes. In combination with the steeringdamper (hyperpro) it's THE tyre for the R6. The whole startinggrid of the Dutch Yamaha R6 Cup uses them. I guess that says it all.
As I said, i'm not the most experienced driver, but even with my kneedown, going flatout I didn't feel one slip or get that "wrong" adrenaline rush. Just da good ones. :-). I had one little slipper but that was because some KAWA driver took grass from outside the track on the track in a sharp bend. It corrected itself though...
Excellent. Fits the bike character. If it sees a corner, it's down on one ear. The tyres help this effect. A couple of times I cursed myself for not taking a corner much, much faster. They were up to it. (Bike and Tires i mean) I also use them on the road. No problems there either. Solid as a rock.
They can handle it. Both the rear for the speed and the front for steering. Just don't use the intermediates in a wet race. (DUH...)
I ran this tire in hot,dry wheather and in the rain on smooth surfaces.
Excellent dry grip, but it takes a while to warm up tires, once the tyre is warmed up,you can go as far as you want,he will warn you when you're pushing his limits... In the wet the tyre is a little difficult to handle, but it may be cause of the light weight of my aprilia...
Excellent stability, the tyre will steer in before you will... ;-)
It feels like a pocketbike...
I was amazed when i drove this tyre for the first time, before I used Dunlops Sportmax but I wasn't satisfied of them at all... Pirelli -> power is nothing without control, they're right :-)
Type of surface tested on. Temp. WeatherConditions British roads (some great some not)all types of weather
A tyre that MUST be warm to perform! but when it is they are GREAT! got to be one of the best all round tyres you can buy!track days sport road riding or touring,it does them all! THE tyre i chose for my trip to spain! LOADS of grip even at peg down angles godda try hard to make them slide the rear!
Stability etc.Great again loads of feeb back loads of warning before a slide and its gentle when it does.
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes.not the fastest turner around but stability makes up for that.
If your not sure which tyre to choose from give them a go! you'll be supprised by their performance and how long they last, underated in my book, just remember to put some heat in them and don't go daft in the wet!
Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions
Super gripy! Right to the edge!
Could feel everything with real good feedback.....if it was going to let go it wouldn't just go 'fuck off' like michelins, but gently start to fade giving me time to adjust and not loose it.
The radial curve on this tyre allowed the bike just to rock from one corner to the next and even after a long day on the track still had plenty of grip to offer.
The only tyre for any serious road rider that can't have the super corsa because it might rain (i'm in the U.K!) I use the bike during the week too and after fitting my newest set, it only took 100miles (7 miles to work each way) for me to be to the edge and fully scrubbed in!
Type of surface tested on. Temp. Weather Conditions. tested on a cold and on a normal weather from temp. 3-25 degrees C
Excellent grip even at cold weather. They need some time to warm up but when you give them that time, you feel the grip at all lean angles. I never used them on the track but I beleive together with the Diablo Corsa, are the ideal tires for the superbikes for road/track use. They lasted less than 3000 klm but they give you confidence in riding to the last klm. Excellent tire!!!
Stability etc. Very stable and grippy
Quick or slow to lean in or react to changes. Very quick at all lean anlges and very reacted to changes of direction at very high speeds.
A tire that is a must. I used Pilot Sport before but the difference is very big. Pirelli is much more grippy and goes where you want to go.
